Where Is the Air?

It’s inevitable. Your car’s air conditioning will fail on the hottest day and when you need it most. And while it may seem unavoidable, there are steps to ensure that your air conditioning system is in tip-top shape to keep you cool in the summer heat.

The system works off high and low pressures transforming refrigerant from gas to liquid and back to gas. Ensuring proper refrigerant levels and using the correct type of oil allows accurate pressures for effective air conditioning operation. In the case of a system that no longer provides cooling, there are many steps to determine the cause. First, evacuating the system, obtaining a proper vacuum to remove contaminants, and recharging to the correct pressures will ensure you have met the basic guidelines for staying cool. Additionally, inspecting the cabin filter for clogged debris and testing the performance of the blower motor and resistor operation will ensure unobstructed and continuous airflow. Topping up the refrigerant oil and installing ultraviolet dye will allow a trace of leaks should the system fail after a short time. Your air conditioning system has plenty of places for leaks to occur, and at the first sign of failure, a service advisor can verify these likely causes before it’s too late.

Consumers should be leery of after-market products, such as all-in-one kits, stop leak products, generic oils, and additives, since oftentimes, these can cause O-rings and seals to swell, thus creating the leak source. These temporary fixes can cause major damage to the air conditioning components – sometimes permanently.

When the summer sun is beaming down, air conditioning is more than a convenience; it’s essential! During all your travel, be safe and be cool!

Support the Makers

From a professional standpoint, there are few more rewarding businesses to operate than small local businesses. If it is run well, it will serve a community, not only through its products and services but in a way that makes customers feel like valued members of small-town America rather than a variable on an economic graph. Here is some of what it takes to run a successful local business.

  • Listen and hear what customers have to say

Listening is the secret of success, and successful business owners make themselves part of the result. Be responsive - not by having all the answers, but by committing to finding the answers. Never lose sight that customer service is the lifeline of any business. Sell the solution to the problem, not only the product.

  • Offer quality in the goods you provide

Whether your products are hand-made or mass-produced, a successful small business owner would never compromise quality for profit. Offer a guarantee that you believe in the products and services you provide and stand behind them 100%.

  • Stay active in the community

A community’s downtown area is everyone’s landscape. Flourishing small businesses create a positive vibe that extends throughout the neighborhood. Furthering the neighbor policy, small businesses are usually the ones to give back to local schools and community events. A successful business is as much about your sales as it is about building relationships with community members and maintaining trust and confidence in them.

There was a time when Westfield was home to only family-run businesses, and the patrons were certain customers but also neighbors, friends, teachers, athletic coaches, and other local business owners. You knew each other on a first-name basis and performed your work at a level that made it feel unlike work at all.

The business scene has and will continue to evolve, but as is still the case today, local business and community support work hand in hand and are the root of success. Contact Eurosport of Westfield for more information.
